Description

Welcome to the land of Fire Mountain, a primordial land of ever-shifting terrain where tribes vie for control using the power of their dinosaurs and the blessing of the volcano. In Wrath of Fire Mountain, 2 to 4 players take on the role of tribal leaders, competing to dominate the landscape and emerge victorious. With a playtime of just 30 to 45 minutes, this game is perfect for a fun and frantic game night with friends. The rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to players of all skill levels, and the game's design by Eric M. Lang and Phil Walker-Harding ensures a engaging and dynamic experience. Each turn, you'll roll the dice Yahtzee-style, then take actions based on the results. You'll place your cave people on the volcano tile, in the dinosaur-hatching region, or on the matching tile on the 4x4 game board. You can also move your cave people around the board, using the foot dice to traverse the grass and jungle tiles. As you collect dinosaurs, you'll unlock special powers that give you an edge over your opponents. With the ability to roll extra dice, occupy water spaces, or fly to any tile, these prehistoric creatures are a game-changer. The modular board and map deformation mechanics also add a layer of unpredictability, as the volcano's eruptions can shift the landscape and change the course of the game. As the game reaches its climax, the volcano will erupt, and players will score points for their presence on the land. With each eruption, the board will change, and new opportunities will arise. The player with the most points at the end of the game will be crowned the winner, but it's not just about accumulating points - it's about strategy, adaptability, and a little bit of luck. With its unique blend of area majority, dice rolling, and grid movement mechanics, Wrath of Fire Mountain is a thrilling and unpredictable ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Released in 2024, this prehistoric-themed game is a must-play for fans of competitive board games.
