Description

Beasts of Balance: Battle Cards is an adrenaline-packed expansion that takes the core game to a whole new level of competitive fun. Designed for 2 to 3 players, this game is all about strategy, balance, and a dash of luck. You'll be building a tower of animals on your tabletop, while also interacting with a connected digital world through an integrated app. The goal is to fill your region with powerful beasts, while sabotaging your opponents and protecting your own creatures from harm. The physical pieces from the core game take on a new level of importance in Battles, as skilful stacking is crucial to avoiding the wrath of Alberick, the spirit of the volcano. If your tower collapses, you'll face a rain of fiery lava damage that can quickly turn the tide of the game. But that's not all - with the introduction of 16 unique NFC Battle Cards, you'll have access to a range of weird and wonderful effects that can be used to attack, defend, or disrupt the game in unexpected ways. Each player can choose a digital avatar, known as a Guardian, which can unleash powerful attacks and has special customisable powers that add a new layer of strategy to the game. As you battle it out with your opponents, you'll also have the chance to summon legendary creatures like MAGMAAARGH the Cantakerous, a grumpy old dragon with a penchant for Star Energy. This fierce beast can bring a huge points boost to your region, but only if you can keep it happy and well-fed. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, Beasts of Balance: Battle Cards is the perfect addition to your gaming collection.
