Description

Druid: Boudicca's Rebellion, 61 A.D. is a two-player board game that drops you into the midst of a pivotal moment in ancient history. It's 61 A.D. and Boudicca, the fierce queen of the Britons, has sparked a rebellion against the Roman overlords who are trying to claim her kingdom. With the help of the Druids, the Britons are fighting back against the Roman legions, burning villages and sacking towns in a desperate bid for freedom. The game is a simulation of this ancient guerrilla warfare, with the barbarian and Roman players battling it out across first-century Britain. As you play, you'll need to use all your strategic skills to outmaneuver your opponent. The Britons are strong at first, but they need to rally the disparate tribes of the island to keep the revolt going. The Romans, on the other hand, start off weak but can call in powerful reinforcements to crush the rebellion. With rules for tribal revolts, hidden deployment, and Druid invocation, the game is full of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. And with a playtime of 120 to 240 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the world of ancient Britain and experience the thrill of Boudicca's Rebellion for yourself. Despite being published back in 1984, Druid remains a unique and engaging wargame that's sure to appeal to anyone interested in history or strategy.
