Description

In the ancient world of Lions of Lydia, the introduction of the world's first gold coin is about to change everything. As a leader, you'll send merchants out to barter for resources and expand your landholdings, but with the arrival of nobles and their powerful Lydian Lion coins, the game is on to build your wealth and empire. With easy-to-learn rules, 2 to 4 players can dive into this 30 to 60 minute game, navigating the dawn of currency and competing to come out on top. You'll need to manage your merchants and complement their abilities with cards in your tableau, converting resources into coins to buy the most valuable properties. With different worker types and variable set-up, each game is unique, and mastering the new golden currency is key to success. Published in 2021 by designer Jonny Pac, Lions of Lydia is a game of strategy and engine-building, where the player who best adapts to the new economy will be declared the winner.
