Description

Insecta is a game of intense bug-to-bug conflict and combat where players design their own mutant bug team and navigate through the treacherous Hive. With a unique blend of cooperative gameplay, dice rolling, and role-playing elements, players must work together to escape the Hive, which is filled with real-world arthropods and controlled by the adversarial Hivemaster player. The game comes with a range of components, including mutant bug displays, design cards, mapsheets, and miniature bugs and counters. As a game that supports 1 to 7 players, Insecta offers a highly variable experience that can be enjoyed by a wide range of players. With a playtime of 90 to 300 minutes, games can be either quick and intense or long and strategic, depending on the players' preferences. First published in 1992, Insecta has stood the test of time, and its normal complexity makes it easy for experienced board game players to learn and dive into the world of mutant bugs and high-stakes combat.
