Description

Ghost Stories is a cooperative game where players work together as Taoist monks to protect a village from the evil lord of hell, Wu-Feng, and his ghostly minions. With each player bringing their unique abilities to the table, teamwork is crucial to exorcise the ghosts that appear throughout the game. The village is made up of different tiles, each offering a special bonus, such as the cemetery where dead monks can be revived or the herbalist where spent tokens can be recovered. As ghosts invade the village, players must roll dice to exorcise them, using a combination of colors to match the ghost's resistance. With the help of Tao tokens and special powers, players can defeat the ghosts and ultimately face off against Wu-Feng himself. The game is won by defeating Wu-Feng, but loss is just as likely, occurring when the village is overrun, the draw pile is empty, or all the monks have fallen. With its modular board and variable player powers, Ghost Stories offers a thrilling challenge for 1 to 4 players to work together and save the village from the forces of darkness.
