Description

Get ready for a thrilling ride with Monster Derby, a fantasy racing game that's all about strategy and a little bit of luck. In this game, 2 to 8 players take on the role of monster trainers, each with their own secret agenda for the order in which they want the monsters to finish. With 25 different monsters to choose from, including medusa, cyclops, and dragons, each game is unique and full of surprises. The rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, but the variable player powers and special abilities of each monster add a layer of complexity that will keep experienced gamers engaged. As players take turns moving their monsters towards the finish line, they can use clever tactics like zig-zagging or attacking other monsters to slow them down. The game includes reversible mapboards with different terrain patterns, which can either help or hinder a monster's progress. With the ability to fly, attack, and defend, each monster has its own strengths and weaknesses, making for a dynamic and unpredictable game. The first three monsters to cross the finish line score points for each player, and the player with the most points at the end wins.
