La Familia Hort is a fun and quirky game where you'll take on the role of one of Granny Hortensia's four grandchildren, all vying to become the most experienced farmer and inherit her land. The game starts with a bit of a spooky twist - Granny Hortensia dies without leaving a will, but her ghost reappears on nights when the moon turns reddish, and she puts her grandchildren to the test. You'll have to manage your resources carefully, including money, water, and fertilizer, to grow and sell crops and animals, all while trying to outdo your opponents. The game is played in rounds, each with five steps that will keep you on your toes. You'll draw tiles from the market, purchase what you need, and then use fertilizer and water to make your crops and animals thrive. But be careful - your opponents can use fertilizer to sabotage your efforts, and the weather can affect how much water you have available. The goal is to earn the most experience points by selling your products, and after three visits from Granny Hortensia, the player with the most points will inherit the land. With simple rules and a playtime of just 30 to 40 minutes, La Familia Hort is a great game for 2 to 4 players looking for a fun and lighthearted challenge.
