Description

In Sutter's Mill, you'll experience the wild ride of the Californian gold rush, as the town of Coloma rises and falls in a matter of years. You'll start by building up the town, bringing in new citizens, and digging for gold, all in the hopes of striking it rich. As the game progresses, you'll need to decide when to switch gears and start tearing down, taking your belongings and getting out of town before the gold vein runs dry. This division into build up and tear down phases adds a fun layer of strategy to the game, as each player must make their own decision about when to switch phases, and some players may still be building while others are tearing down. With its unique blend of area majority, hand management, and worker placement mechanics, Sutter's Mill is a thrilling game for 2 to 4 players that's easy to learn and plays out in about 60 minutes.
