Description

Magic Trick is a fast-paced and intriguing trick-taking game designed by Christopher Wray, where 3 to 5 players dive into a world of mystery and deduction. With a playtime of just 25 to 40 minutes, this 2023 release is perfect for a quick game night with friends. The rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, but the gameplay is engaging enough to keep experienced gamers on their toes. The game revolves around a unique deck of 7 suits, with players trying to figure out the cards in their hand based on the suit shown on the back, and a clever twist where each player's neighbor helps by sorting their cards in sequential order at the start of each hand. As players take turns, they must follow suit if possible, with hearts acting as trump, and strategically place a card "up their sleeve" to bet on the number of tricks they think they can take. The goal is to hit your bid, earning points for success, and even more points if you capture a number of suits equal to your bid. But be careful, missing your bid will cost you points. With each player taking turns leading tricks and trying to outmaneuver their opponents, the game is full of exciting moments and social interaction. After a number of hands equal to the number of players, the player with the highest score emerges victorious, making Magic Trick a thrilling and competitive experience for all involved.
