Description

In Ezra and Nehemiah, you'll embark on a journey to rebuild the great city of Jerusalem, navigating the complexities of city building, resource management, and spiritual growth. This game, designed by S J Macdonald and Shem Phillips, challenges 1 to 4 players to work together to restore the temple, city walls, and gates, while also teaching the Torah to returning exiles. With a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, you'll have ample time to develop your land, travel to settlements, and tend to the altar's fire, all while competing to earn the most victory points. As you play through three weeks of rounds, you'll need to balance your hand of cards, workers, and resources to achieve your goals. The game's mechanics, including chaining, hand management, and tech trees, add a layer of depth and strategy to the game. With the prophets Haggai and Zechariah guiding the people, you'll need to stay focused on your objectives. After six days of work, a Sabbath day of rest will give you a chance to reflect on your progress and plan for the next week. With its unique blend of ancient history, city building, and religious themes, Ezra and Nehemiah offers a engaging and challenging experience that will keep you coming back for more.
