Description
The Front Nine is a fun and competitive card game where 2 to 4 players get to design and build their own nine hole golf course. With easy to learn rules, you'll be able to dive right in and start creating your course, balancing challenging par, scenery, and facilities to impress the judges. Each hole has its own unique topography, with features like trees, water, and sand that you'll need to pay for and place carefully to create a cohesive and beautiful course. As you build, you'll need to manage your finances carefully to ensure you can afford the increasing land costs and resources required to add each new hole. As you compete against your opponents, you'll need to think strategically about which cards to purchase and where to place them to create the best course. The game has a great spatial aspect, with each player's course snaking across the table in a unique and challenging way. With its combination of economic management, spatial planning, and direct player interaction, The Front Nine is a game that will keep you on your toes and coming back for more. Designed by Nick Case and first published in 2014, this base game has even been expanded with additional content, including The Front Nine: AUGUSTUS and The Emerald Blazer Expansion, offering plenty of opportunities to mix things up and try new strategies.
