Description
Shards of the Jaguar is a competitive adventure game that requires strategic and tactical thinking. Players take on the role of initiates trying to prove themselves worthy of their tribe's legendary animal, the Jaguar's power. The Jaguar was broken into crystal shards by a curse, and the initiates must navigate the Sacred Temple to find and incorporate their power. The temple is filled with perilous traps, and players must learn to use them to outsmart their opponents. In this 90-minute game, players will collect crystal shards, mystical amulets, and map pieces while trying to foresee their opponents' moves and set clever traps against them. With a modular board and variable player powers, each game is unique. Players will spend action points to move, take shards, perform rituals, and heal themselves, all while trying to avoid traps set by their opponents. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins, becoming the heir of the Jaguar and defender of the tribe.
