Description

In Samurai & Katana, you're a Daïmyo, a samurai clan chief, vying to become the Shogun and end Japan's civil war. To achieve this, you'll need to balance economic, medieval, and political strategies, all while navigating the complexities of negotiation and war. As you build castles, trade with China, and organize spectacles, you'll also need to manage your relationships with other clans and minor cities. With 120 minutes of playtime, you'll have ample opportunity to outmaneuver your opponents, dishonoring and weakening them through clever use of battle cards and strategic alliances. But beware, as shifting allegiances, treason, and assassination can quickly turn the tide of the game. Designed by Pascal Bernard and first published in 1999, Samurai & Katana offers a rich and immersive experience for 3 to 6 players, challenging you to become the most honorable Daïmyo and claim the title of Shogun.
