Description

In Mombasa, players take on the role of investors in chartered companies based in Mombasa, Cape Town, Saint-Louis, and Cairo, spreading their trading posts throughout the African continent to earn the most money. This tense Euro-style strategy game, designed by Alexander Pfister, challenges players to use their influence to expand their companies' reach and increase the value of their shares. With a unique rotating-display hand mechanism, players must plan carefully to acquire and use the right action cards at the right time. As players navigate the game's complex rules and mechanics, they'll need to balance their investments, trade in goods like bananas and cotton, and work with diamond merchants to come out on top. With multiple paths to victory and a playtime of 75 to 150 minutes, Mombasa offers a deep and engaging experience for 2 to 4 players. The game's high replayability and variable player powers ensure that each game will be a new and different challenge, keeping players on their toes as they compete to earn the most money and win the game.
