In the world of The Battle for Thor's Cliff, four brave heroes - Raghild, Bera, Jorund, and Oleif - embark on a thrilling adventure to win the favor of the mighty Daughter of Thor, born on the mystical island of Thor's Cliff in 993 AD. As the year 1000 unfolds, these heroes engage in a non-cooperative battle, each with their own unique abilities and strategies, to earn the love and admiration of Thor's Daughter. The goal is simple yet challenging: gift her the most precious treasures, including amber and gemstones, to gain her affection and ultimately change the fate of the world. As players navigate the grid, utilizing area movement, dice rolling, and pick-up and deliver mechanics, they must balance their resources, recruit new warriors, and fight off fierce trolls to emerge victorious. With easy-to-learn rules, introduced through a 3-part narrative that sets the stage for the epic battle, players can dive into the game quickly and focus on their strategy.
