Description

Chinese Civil War is a hex-based wargame that drops you into the midst of a pivotal moment in history, the conflict between the Nationalist Kuomintang army and the Communist People's Liberation Army in China from 1946 to 1949. As a player, your goal is to capture or retain control of key cities by the end of the 16-turn game. With its normal complexity rules, this game is accessible to anyone familiar with board games, and can be enjoyed by 1 to 2 players over the course of 240 to 360 minutes. Designed by Bob Fowler and first published in 1979, Chinese Civil War features a range of engaging mechanics, including conventional and non-conventional warfare, national war zones, communist bases, guerrillas, supplies, and artillery pieces. The game comes with a large 22 by 34 inch mapsheet and 200 counters, providing an immersive experience that challenges you to navigate the intricacies of this historic conflict.
