The Library at Celaeno Map takes you inside a cyclopean alien facility in the Hyades, a location that's steeped in Lovecraft lore. This new map introduces two terrifying figures: the Librarian and the Custodian. The first player to build a Gate on this map can seize amazing new powers in the form of extra spellbooks, but beware - if you lose control of your Special Collection, the Librarian will come after you. The Custodian is just as ominous, cleaning up chambers by moving units to the Oubliette, where fights can break out. The Librarian can only be activated if a player has an overdue Book, and it can wreak havoc on the game. Luckily, you can mitigate the damage by returning the Book, but you'll need to be careful not to let things get out of hand. The Library at Celaeno expansion introduces a new mechanism to Cthulhu Wars: Silence tokens. These tokens allow you to trigger special actions, including moving the Custodian and Librarian, and triggering the special Library books on this map. With the combination of Action Points, Area Movement, Dice Rolling, and Variable Player Powers, this expansion adds a whole new layer of depth to the game.
