Description

Hollow Legions is a highly anticipated Italian ASL module that brings a fresh perspective to the world of Advanced Squad Leader. Published in 1989, this expansion was designed by Don Greenwood and offers a unique gaming experience for 2 players. With a playtime of around 120 minutes, players will need to dedicate some time to learning the rules, which can be a bit complicated. However, the payoff is well worth the effort, as Hollow Legions allows players to command every major vehicle, gun, and troop type employed by the Italians during World War II. Players will have the opportunity to explore eight different scenarios, five of which are set in Europe, and experience the challenges faced by the Italian army in North and East Africa, Russia, Sicily, the Balkans, and Italy. The module includes two mapboards that depict open desert, which can be combined with other modules to recreate epic battles. With its intricate game mechanics, including a hexagon grid, worker placement, and different worker types, Hollow Legions is a game that will challenge and engage even the most experienced players. As an expansion for the base game Advanced Squad Leader, Hollow Legions is a must-have for fans of the series and anyone looking to add a new layer of complexity and realism to their gaming experience.
