Description

The balance of power is shifting among the Order of the Gods in this exciting expansion to the Völuspá base game. With new tiles to add to the mix, players can expect fresh challenges and opportunities to outmaneuver their opponents. The goddess Freya, for example, can permanently increase the value of other beings, making her a valuable ally to have on your side. Meanwhile, the resourceful Dwarf can tap into the power of neighboring gods, giving players a new way to strategize and gain an edge. As you play with these new tiles, you'll also encounter the monstrous Niohoggr, which hoards extra benefits for anyone brave enough to defeat it. And if you're feeling quick, you can utilize the swift flying Raven to score twice in the same turn, giving you a thrilling advantage over your opponents. With these new tiles, you can play with the Völuspá base game or blend them with tiles from the Saga of Edda expansion, creating a unique experience each time. Four recommended game set-up variants are included, and many other variants are possible, making the possibilities in Völuspá more endless than ever. In this 45-minute game for 2 to 5 players, you'll need to use your hand management and tile placement skills to come out on top. Luckily, the rules are of normal complexity, so if you're familiar with board games, you should have no issue learning this one. Designed by Scott Caputo and published in 2013, Völuspá: Order of the Gods is an abstract strategy game with a rich mythological theme, making it a great addition to any board game collection. With its engaging gameplay and endless possibilities, you'll be eager to dive in and start exploring the world of Völuspá.
