Description

Ulti is a classic trick-taking card game that's steeped in history and strategy. Originally from Hungary, this game has been a favorite among card game enthusiasts for centuries. Played with a special 32-card deck, Ulti is designed for three players who will need to use their betting and bluffing skills to outmaneuver each other. The game starts with each player being dealt 10 cards, and the start player gets to swap cards with the remaining two cards in the deck, known as the Talon. From there, players take turns bidding, trying to outdo each other with increasingly higher value bids. As the game unfolds, players can choose to play it safe or go all-in with bids like Ulti, where they aim to take the last trick with the seven of the trump suit. But beware - if you think the winning bid won't succeed, you can call a Kontra and potentially double your points. With no fixed end point, players can keep playing hands until they run out of time, making Ulti a great game for a casual game night or a more intense tournament. The game's normal complexity makes it easy for experienced board game players to learn, but the betting and bluffing mechanics add a layer of depth that will keep you coming back for more.
