Description

In the board game Batavia, you'll take on the role of a skipper of a VOC ship, navigating the high seas and competing against other players to build your own Batavia and sail it to victory. The game is simple to learn, with easy-to-explain rules that get you started quickly, and plays out over about 90 minutes with 2 to 4 players. As you roll the die to determine how many spaces you can move, you'll need to strategically decide when to stock up on goods, attack other players, or unload your cargo to secure it. Your goal is to collect and secure goods, which can be used to buy parts of your own Batavia, giving you an edge over your opponents. With its unique blend of pick-up and deliver, roll and move mechanics, Batavia offers a fun and challenging experience set in the Renaissance era, with a nautical theme that's full of excitement and danger.
