Description

In Meltwater, a game of tactical starvation, two players take on the roles of superpowers vying for control of a post-apocalyptic Antarctica. The game is set in a world where nuclear fire has scorched the earth, leaving only a fragile patchwork of research stations and refugee ships as the last remnants of humanity. The rules are easy to learn, making it simple for players to dive into the action, which revolves around displacing, cornering, and isolating their opponent's survivors. As players navigate the hexagon grid, they must contend with the harsh environment and the constant threat of radioactive contamination, which shrinks the available space and forces them closer together. With a playtime of 60 minutes, Meltwater is a tense and strategic game that challenges players to outmaneuver their opponent in a desperate bid for survival. Hunger is a crueler weapon than gunfire in this frozen landscape, where only one side can emerge victorious.
