Get ready to uncover the secrets of the ancient crypt in Pick a Pen: Crypts, a puzzle game designed by the renowned Reiner Knizia. In this 30-minute game for 2 to 4 players, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure to fill in as many rows and columns as possible in your individual player sheet. The game is incredibly easy to learn, with simple rules that can be explained quickly, making it accessible to players of all ages and skill levels. Each turn, you'll roll the colored pencils, choose one, and mark spaces on your sheet, with the symbols on top of the pencil determining your next move. As you progress through the game, you'll need to strategically fill in rows and columns to earn points. Fill three spaces in a row or column with the same color, and you'll score a 3-point bonus. But if you can place every color in a row or column, you'll earn a whopping 5 bonus points instead. With three difficulty levels of player sheets to choose from, each with its own unique bonuses and effects, you'll need to stay focused and adapt your strategy to come out on top. The game ends when one player has filled all their symbols, and the player with the most points is declared the winner.
