Description

In Terra Nova, players compete to claim areas of land by strategically moving control markers and placing fences. With easy-to-learn rules, 2 to 4 players can dive into this abstract strategy game, vying for territory and points. Each turn, players take three actions, navigating the grid to enclose areas and maximize their score. The game's simplicity belies its depth, as players must balance short-term gains with long-term strategy. With no necessary in-game text, Terra Nova is accessible to players of all languages. As the game unfolds, players score points for enclosed areas, with bonuses for fewer types of landscape. The player with the majority of pieces in an area scores the most points, making for a thrilling competition that lasts around 45 minutes.
