Description
Mexica is a strategic board game where 2 to 4 players compete to build and dominate the city of Tenochtitlan. Players take turns placing tiles to form districts, construct canals, and erect buildings, all while navigating the island's grid. The goal is to score points by founding districts and having the most influence in each area. With its unique blend of tile placement, area control, and pattern movement, Mexica offers a challenging and engaging experience. As players build and expand their presence in the city, they must strategically manage their action points to maximize their score. With two scoring phases, players must balance short-term gains with long-term strategy to emerge victorious. Designed by Michael Kiesling and Wolfgang Kramer, Mexica is a classic game of abstract strategy and city building that has stood the test of time since its release in 2002.
