Description

Resafa is a game that drops you into the heart of the ancient Middle East, specifically in the 3rd century AD, where the desert outpost of Resafa thrived as a crucial stop along caravan routes. You'll take on the role of a merchant, traveling through the region, buying and selling goods, and building your business empire. The twist is that Resafa's survival depended on its ability to collect and distribute water, so you'll also be building water tanks and canals to support the local communities. As you navigate the challenges of the desert, you'll construct workshops, gardens, and other structures to generate resources, collect camels, and ultimately earn victory points. The game is designed for 1 to 4 players and takes around 60 to 150 minutes to play, with rules that might take some time to learn due to their complexity. Despite this, the gameplay is engaging and exciting, with each player taking only three actions per round, using action cards to drive their progress. With its unique blend of hand management, tile placement, and network building, Resafa offers a thrilling experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
