Description

In Ortus, two players face off in a battle of strategy and skill, each commanding a band of warriors schooled in one of the prime elements. The game takes place on a hexagonal board, where players must harvest and channel energy to their warriors to claim victory. With eight warriors to start, each player must carefully plan their attacks, deciding when to advance and when to withhold energy, and whether to save or sacrifice their warriors. As players maneuver their warriors around the board, they must balance collecting energy, defending against attacks, and launching their own assaults. With a gentle learning curve and a playtime of just 30 minutes, Ortus is an exciting and challenging game that's easy to learn but difficult to master. By introducing special rules for each elemental warrior, players can add depth and complexity to the game, making each match a unique and thrilling experience.
