Description

Kawanakajima 1561 is a game that drops you into the midst of 16th century Japan, where you'll take on the role of a commander in chief, leading your army of various clans into battle. With simple yet dynamic mechanics, you'll need to carefully plan your moves to outmaneuver your opponent, taking into account the unique abilities of each unit, represented by factors such as elan, mass, fire, and leadership. As you navigate the hexagon grid, you'll need to make strategic decisions about which mode to place your clans in, whether it's attack, defense, move, or rally, and use the chit-pull system to activate your units in the right order. With two scenarios to choose from, including a historical battle and a hypothetical "what if?" scenario, you'll be fully immersed in the world of feudal Japan, facing the same challenges and limitations as the real-life generals of the time.
