Description
The Fog of War is a strategic game of planning and intelligence, where two players take on the roles of Axis and Allied forces in World War II. The game focuses on the behind-the-scenes aspects of war, where players use decks of cards to represent their military assets and a map to show the 28 provinces being battled over. Players defend provinces by placing cards face down, while attacks require planning an operation on the unique operation wheel, which forces players to commit to plans in advance while allowing for intelligence gathering and bluffing. As players take turns, they can use Intel tokens to investigate their opponent's operations and defenses, adding a layer of uncertainty and strategy to the game. With its normal complexity rules, The Fog of War is easy to learn for experienced board game players, and its 90 to 120 minute playtime makes for an engaging and immersive experience.
