Description

In El Grande, you take on the role of a powerful lord in medieval Spain, vying for control of various regions as the king's power wanes. You'll draft caballeros into your court and move them onto the board to seize control of regions. The game is played over nine rounds, with scoring occurring every third round. Each round, you'll select a power card to determine turn order and the number of caballeros you can move, and then choose an action card to vary the rules and gain scoring opportunities. Your goal is to have a caballero majority in as many regions as possible, including the secretive castillo. With a mix of strategy and tactical maneuvering, you'll need to outmaneuver your opponents to emerge victorious. With its engaging gameplay and medieval theme, El Grande is a classic game that's sure to challenge and entertain players.
