Description

In The Flames of Fafnir, a thrilling board game for 1 to 4 players, you'll embark on a perilous quest to save your village from the fiery wrath of the mighty dragon Fafnir. This beast, once a nobleman, has been transformed by a cursed treasure and now seeks to burn your home to the ground. You'll travel through the Heathland with the champion Sigurd, building defenses to protect the village and collecting runes to defeat the dragon. But beware, one of your fellow heroes might have ulterior motives, seeking to join forces with Fafnir and destroy the village for their own gain. As you navigate the grid, you'll encounter mythological creatures and monsters, and slaying them will aid you in your quest. You'll gather resources to construct defenses, such as barricades, watch towers, and trenches, to reduce the carnage and intercept Fafnir's fireballs. The game is easy to learn, but with a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, you'll need to strategize and plan your defense well to emerge victorious. With the help of powerful artifacts and rider cards, you'll improve your movement, gain glory, and weaken the dreaded Fafnir. Will you answer the call and save your village, or will you succumb to the flames of Fafnir?
