Description

Gloom: Unhappy Homes is an expansion that adds a whole new level of misery to the original Gloom game. With 55 new transparent cards, you can introduce even more tragedy and suffering to your eccentric family of misfits. The new family, Le Canard Noir, is a group of artistes whose creative endeavors always seem to end in disaster, making them the perfect addition to your game. You can mix these new cards with your existing copy of Gloom to create a fresh and exciting experience, with new Modifiers, Events, and Untimely Deaths to make your family's life even more miserable. The expansion also introduces new Residences and Mysteries, which add a new layer of strategy to the game. The Residences provide a special effect and Pathos points, which count towards your final Family Value, while the Mysteries can be played on any Residence to give you an extra advantage. With the ability to discard a Mystery from your hand as a free play, you'll have even more options to make your family's life as unhappy as possible. Designed by Keith Baker and published in 2005, Gloom: Unhappy Homes is a great addition to the Gloom series, and can be played with 2 to 5 players in just 30 minutes, making it a quick and entertaining game for anyone who enjoys a good dose of dark humor and storytelling.
