Description

Il Vecchio is a game of strategy and skill, set in 15th century Tuscany, where players take on the roles of heads of Florentine families vying for power. To rise to the top, you'll need to send your family members to various locations to recruit followers, collect money, and gain the favor of the squirearchy. Controlling provinces in neighboring regions is key, as it provides power and bonus actions, but you'll need to have the right people in the right place at the right time to make it happen. With a playtime of 60 minutes and rules of normal complexity, Il Vecchio is a game that's easy to learn but challenging to master. Players take turns performing actions, such as taking over provinces, claiming city council or nobility tiles, and introducing new family members to the board. The game ends when the Power of the Medici fades, and the player with the most power points, earned through gained tiles and majorities, is declared the winner.
