Description
The Transcontinental is a game where you get to be a part of building a nation-defining project, a transcontinental railway that will connect the eastern and western provinces of Canada. As a contractor, you'll send out telegrams to reserve your spot on the worker-placement track, then take turns loading and unloading resources from a shared train that travels across the country. You can use these resources to complete developments like lumber mills, farms, and cities, or bid to extend the railway and get ahead of your opponents. With its unique blend of worker placement, pick-up and deliver, and auction mechanics, The Transcontinental offers a fun and challenging experience for 1 to 4 players. The game may take some time to learn, but with playtime ranging from 75 to 150 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to get immersed in the world of Canadian railway development.
