Description

In Luna Maris, you're the coordinator of a company's lunar operations, tasked with organizing your crew, fulfilling demands, and keeping your scientists and engineers safe and happy. The game is set in a not-too-distant future where space mining is becoming a reality, and establishing a Moon base is the first step towards exploring and occupying other planets. Your goal is to extract valuable resources like iron, titanium, water, and helium-3 from the Moon, while navigating the challenges of working in a harsh, alien environment. You'll start with a hand of six scientist cards, which you can use to perform actions like installing lunar probes, processing minerals, and supplying your workers' necessities. As you play, you'll need to manage your resources carefully, balancing the need to extract and process minerals with the need to keep your crew safe and your facilities running smoothly. The game takes place over five rounds, during which you can focus on different strategies like investing in your industrial complex, hiring high-level scientists, or optimizing your actions to maximize your victory points. With its unique blend of resource management, worker placement, and strategic planning, Luna Maris offers a fun and challenging experience for 1 to 4 players, with playtime ranging from 30 to 120 minutes. Designed by Ricardo Amaral and published in 2022, Luna Maris is a great choice for fans of science fiction and space exploration, and for anyone looking for a game that's both engaging and strategically deep.
