Description

Adamastor is a thrilling cooperative game for one to two players that drops you into the shoes of a daring Portuguese captain during the Age of Discovery. Published in 2017 by game designer Orlando Sá, this quick 15-minute game is easy to learn and packed with excitement. You'll navigate the challenges of a historical scenario, such as Vasco da Gama's perilous journey to India, or create your own custom adventure with a unique map each time you play. With a deck of 54 cards, markers, and a pawn to track your fleet's position, you'll need to manage your hand carefully to overcome the obstacles that come your way. As you set sail, you'll face a multitude of threats, from treacherous storms and disease-ridden crew members to mutinies and treacherous sea routes. The game's multi-use cards can be both a blessing and a curse, offering help or hindrance depending on the combination of icons in play. As the game progresses, the challenges will mount, and you'll accumulate traumas that make your task even more daunting.
