Description
Complete the Atlas is a game of world exploration where players take on the role of admirals in 15th century Portugal, working for the merchant Ferdinand Gomez. The goal is to increase fame and become the world's best admiral by discovering new lands, building harbors and trading posts, and trading specialty products. The game board starts with a map of the known world, but the rest is blank, waiting to be filled in by players as they travel across the seas and place land tiles. As players explore and discover new lands, they also close off potential sea routes, making it a challenge to balance the need to discover and the need to trade. Building churches and propagating Christianity can also increase a player's fame. With simple rules and a playtime of 45 to 90 minutes, Complete the Atlas is a fun and exciting game for 2 to 4 players, offering a unique experience each time it's played.
