Description

In Apotheca, you'll craft potions in a secret marketplace, hiding ingredients to deceive opponents and using magical powers to mix concoctions. This 30-minute game for 1 to 4 players is easy to learn, but the combination of asymmetric powers and secret facedown potions makes it a delicious challenge. Players gain points by making matches of three potions of the same color in a row, and the first to make three matches wins. As you play, you'll need to balance revealing potions, collecting gems, and hiring new apothecaries, all while keeping your opponents at bay. Deduction is key, as you trap each other with clever spatial moves, bluffing, and misdirection. Whether you're playing solo, in a team, or against others, Apotheca offers a unique experience, from the cerebral and controlled gameplay of two players to the chaotic yet strategic gameplay of three or four players.
