Description

In Renaissance Man, you'll embark on a journey through the Renaissance, mastering various skills as a scholar, merchant, knight, and baker. This game, designed by Anthony Rubbo and published in 2013, is perfect for 1 to 4 players looking for a fun and challenging experience that can be completed in just 30 minutes. With normal complexity rules, familiar board game players will have no issue diving right in. The game mechanics of hand management and simultaneous action selection add a layer of excitement and strategy, as you'll need to cleverly combine workers and cards to achieve your goals. As you play, you'll hire, recruit, and train workers to produce a Master in one of the four areas of study. Merchants will hire new workers, knights will compete to recruit from the common pool, bakers will offer goods in exchange for actions, and scholars will train others in the ways of the Renaissance. By supporting higher-level workers with lower-level ones, you'll build a pyramid structure of workers, with the goal of creating a single Master of study and winning the game. With a mix of luck and clever strategy, the player who navigates the trickiest situations will emerge victorious, making Renaissance Man a thrilling experience for all who play.
