Description
Heir to the Throne is a game of medieval intrigue where 2 to 4 players compete to build noble families and fight for the throne. Each player starts with a Noble House Card featuring a Lord and Lady, and from there, they use Court Drama Cards to arrange marriages, have children, and grow their family tree. With easy-to-learn rules, players can quickly dive into the action, using their cards to help their family thrive or sabotage their rivals. As players take turns, they can use their Court Drama Cards to make strategic moves, such as making rivals illegitimate or infertile, or restoring their own family's fortunes. The goal is to produce a great-grandson who is of age and eligible for the throne, and with 45 to 60 minutes of playtime, the game is a thrilling and compact experience. Published in 2016, Heir to the Throne offers a fun and engaging way to experience the intrigue of medieval politics.
