Description

In Winter Rabbit, a semi-cooperative game designed by William Thompson, players take on the roles of animal characters from traditional Cherokee stories, working together to prepare their village for a severe winter while also competing to be the most helpful. With easy-to-learn rules, 2 to 6 players can join in on the fun, which typically lasts between 60 to 120 minutes. As players place their villagers in different locations, they must balance cooperation and competition, all while keeping an eye out for the mischievous Rabbit, who's trying to sabotage their efforts and steal resources for himself. As players navigate the game, they'll use a unique hidden worker placement system, where villagers are drawn randomly from a bag, and resources are generated when enough villagers are present. Players can build their personal engine, complete tasks, and spend resources on stories that affect the game, all while managing their resources carefully to avoid overproducing. The game ends after a variable number of rounds, and if the players have collectively produced enough supplies, the player with the highest score wins. With its focus on indigenous values and concepts, Winter Rabbit offers a fresh and engaging gaming experience that's perfect for those looking for a fun and challenging game with a unique twist.
