Description

Caverna: The Cave Farmers is a worker-placement game where you lead a small dwarf family living in a mountain cave. You start with a farmer and spouse, each representing an action you can take each turn. As you cultivate the forest and dig deeper into the mountain, you furnish caves as dwellings and working spaces for your family. You can mine ore to forge weapons for expeditions, gaining bonus items and actions, and discover water sources, ore, and ruby mines to increase your wealth. With up to 7 players, or solo, you can play this game, which takes around 30 to 210 minutes to complete. The goal is to develop your home board efficiently, expanding your family and farm while managing resources. With 48 different furnishing tiles and new features like purchasing weapons and sending farmers on quests, Caverna offers a unique gaming experience, building upon designer Uwe Rosenberg's previous game, Agricola, with new ideas and challenges.
