Description
Get ready to set sail for adventure and treasure with Brethren of the Coast, a pirate-themed board game designed by Brett J. Gilbert. In this easy-to-learn game, 3 to 6 players take on the role of pirate captains, competing to plunder the most treasure from the Spanish galleons and settlements. Each turn, players make two simple yet strategic decisions: which ship to sail into battle and which card to play to increase their treasure hoard or possibly aid the Spanish defenses. With a playtime of just 30 to 60 minutes, Brethren of the Coast is a quick and exciting game that's perfect for a fun night with friends. As players navigate the Spanish waters, they'll need to use a combination of hand management and worker placement to outwit their fellow pirates and get the best loot. But beware - the Spanish won't go down without a fight, and players will need to use their wits to outmaneuver them. With the ability to spend doubloons to play cards face down, players can hide information from their opponents and add an element of bluffing to the game. In the end, the player with the most treasure will be declared the winner, but only after the treasure chests are revealed and the doubloons are counted. Will you be the pirate captain to emerge victorious, or will your brethren get the better of you?
