Description

In Breizh 1341, you'll be transported back to medieval times, where the ducal crown of Brittany is up for grabs. The year is 1341, and Duke Jean III has died childless, sparking a bitter succession crisis between his niece Jeanne de Penthièvre and her husband Charles de Blois, and Jean de Montfort, the husband of Jeanne de Flanders and half-brother of Jean III. As one of the two players, you'll take on the role of either the Franco-Bretons or the Anglo-Bretons, vying for control of the region. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll be immersed in the game in no time, navigating the complexities of medieval politics and warfare. As you battle for dominance, you'll need to rally nobles to your cause, recruit troops, and lead them into battle or lay siege to castles. Historical figures will influence the game's outcome, adding an extra layer of strategy and unpredictability. With a playtime of just 45 to 60 minutes, Breizh 1341 is the perfect game for a fun and intense evening of competition. The player who controls the most territories, castles, and supporters will ultimately be crowned the new Duke of Brittany, so you'll need to use your multi-use cards, area movement, and turn order auction skills to outmaneuver your opponent and emerge victorious. Will you be the one to claim the ducal crown, or will your rival outwit and outplay you?
