In Island of Gems, you're competing against a rival to decorate the beaches and earn the most seashells, all while battling the incoming tide. This strategic duel game is easy to learn, but challenging to master, and plays out over 20 to 45 minutes. You'll take turns placing gems on the board, with each move determining where your opponent can place their next gem. As you play, you'll need to focus on completing patterns, controlling the islands, and recruiting magical seahorses to give you an edge. With 14 islands to choose from and tide cards that can flood the board or reveal valuable diamonds, every game is different. Designed by Aaron Kempkes, Island of Gems is a highly strategic and engaging abstract strategy game that's perfect for two players looking for a fun and challenging competition.
