Description
No Thanks is a simple yet engaging card game that's all about making tough choices to come out on top. With easy-to-learn rules, players take turns deciding whether to play a chip to avoid picking up the current face-up card or take the card and any chips that come with it. The goal is to have the lowest score at the end of the game, but it's not as easy as it sounds. The deck is numbered from 3 to 35, and while runs of cards can be beneficial, nine cards are removed from the deck before starting, making it tricky to find connectors. This quick 20-minute game is perfect for a group of 3 to 7 players, and with no necessary in-game text, it's accessible to everyone. Designed by Thorsten Gimmler and first published in 2004, No Thanks has become a classic, with its unique blend of auction, bidding, and set collection mechanics keeping players on their toes.
