Description

In Eketorp, players compete to build the most valuable Viking stronghold on the Swedish island of Öland. The goal is to collect the best blocks for your fortress, either by winning battles for resources or by sneaking them away from other Vikings. With easy-to-learn rules, 3 to 6 players can join in on the fun, enjoying 45 to 60 minutes of strategic gameplay. Each turn, new resources become available, and players secretly plan their Viking movements. The action unfolds as placements are revealed, with Vikings clashing for blocks and losers recovering in the field hospital. The game ends when one player completes their fortress or after a set number of rounds. Designed by Dirk Henn and first published in 2003, Eketorp offers a unique blend of bluffing, fighting, and medieval-themed strategy, with no need for in-game text, making it accessible to players of all languages.
