Description
Lata is a game where you manage your own canning company in the 1950s, producing and selling famous canned sardines and mackerel. The game is easy to learn and plays out over 20 to 45 minutes with 1 to 4 players. You'll buy batches of fish, tomato, and olive oil, then use them in your factory to create preserves that can be sold to markets, earning you money to increase production capacity and buy scorecards. The twist is that the order in which you choose your raw materials is determined by an auction of action points, where you secretly bid by sliding a disk on your individual board. The player who gives up more opportunities for action gets to choose the best lot, but having more possibilities for action is crucial to producing more and reaching the best markets. The player with the most victory points at the end wins, making Lata a fun and strategic game for anyone interested in industry and manufacturing.
