Description

In Europe Divided, you take on the role of one of two powers: Europe, controlling both NATO and the European Union, or Russia. Europe is powerful and rich, but slow to react, while Russia is more agile, despite lacking resources. The game is set in a world where the end of the Cold War has given way to a new era of European expansion, but Russia's resurgence, fueled by rising oil prices and a new leadership, is challenging this expansion. Players compete to have dominant influence in contested countries in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and the Caucasus, and can also score points by bringing key historical events to fruition. With a fast-playing card-driven core mechanism, players use cards to establish influence, gain resources, and deploy their military presence, all while managing the tension between expansion and overreach. The game is rich in history and features potential flashpoints, making for a thrilling and immersive experience.
